Barack Obama

Barack Hussein Obama II. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the first African American to serve as president of the Harvard Law Review. Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving three terms in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He is the first african american candidate for president that has made it to presidental nominee. His plans as president are for choice on abortion. Leaving from the "Iraq War" and a plan for free heathcare. He shows compation for the poorer man by lowering taxes for everyone that makes less then $500,000 a year and increasing big bussiness owners and the richer people who can afford it. With Barack Obama running many people who would normally never go to vote actually are encouraged enough, and yes it is because he is african american. In opposition though there are people who will NOT vote for him because he is african american. There is still disgusting racism in america but hopefully that will not be what decides this election.

Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972, and became the fifth-youngest senator in U.S. history. Sarah Palin

Sarah Louise Heath Palin (born February 11, 1964) is the governor of Alaska and the Republican vice-presidential nominee in the 2008 United States presidential election.
Having now 5 children, after an "unseen" 5th child a son, which is slightly unusual someone becoming pregnant at her age. Along with her older son being caught doing drugs and her daughter also becoming pregnant and 17. Which is pretty ironic if you consider that she likes to talk alot about "abstinence only" and the safety of our children. It sounds like she can't keep her family or even herself under these regulations. She seems to be a bit of a wishy-washy person, or just inconsistent.

John McCain

John Sidney McCain III (born August 29, 1936) is the senior United States Senator from Arizona and now a Presidental nominee for the 2008 Election.
McCain graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958 becoming a naval aviator, flying ground-attack aircraft from aircraft carriers. During the Vietnam War, he was nearly killed in 1967 at the USS Forrestal fire. Later that year while on a bombing mission over North Vietnam, he was shot down, badly injured, and captured as a prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese. He was held from 1967 to 1973, experiencing episodes of torture and refusing an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer; his war wounds would leave him with lifelong physical limitations.
He retired from the Navy as a captain in 1981, moved to Arizona, and entered politics. Elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982, he served two terms, and was then elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986, winning re-elections in 1992, 1998, and 2004.
